Guide - Wild Oregano EO
The Story :
Oregano is a perennial herbaceous plant generally measuring between 30 and 80 cm. It originates from the Mediterranean basin and Western Asia, appreciates dry soils and sunshine. Like many aromatic plants, it is widely used in cooking and has many virtues linked to its richness in essential oil. It is its leaves, full of essential oil, that give off its distinctive aroma when wrinkled.
Oregano is often likened to wild marjoram, which has similar properties and many nicknames: “wild tea”, “herdsman’s thyme”, “red tea”, “perennial marjoram”.
Its name seems to come from the Greek word origanon, “which is loved on the mountain”, because of the dry and calcareous lands where oregano flourishes. In ancient Greece, this plant was already used as a medicinal plant, particularly for stomach and digestive problems. It was also used to relieve painful muscles, heal respiratory ailments or disinfect wounds.

The Plant :
The Oregano is a plant native to Morocco and can measure up to 80cm. We have selected extracts of Compact Oregano carefully harvested in Spain, in order to offer a superior quality oil. This essential oil of Oregano has a powerful fresh grassy scent.
Properties :
- Powerful aroma, stimulating immune defences
- Air purifier
- Ideal for skin problems

Uses :
In infusion: To stimulate the natural defences, fight against infections and stimulate the body and mind.
To do this, mix 3 to 4 drops in a litre of warm, non-boiling water. Indeed, too hot water would tend to evaporate too quickly the essential oil of Oregano and could also degrade the essential oil and its components, making it less effective. It is important to dilute the essential oil in honey or on a sugar cube which you will then add in warm water, in order to unify the mixture. Once your preparation is done, you can enjoy your tea for a moment of relaxation, at any time of the day.
Atmospheric diffusion: To clean and purify the atmosphere of your interior, but also to create a fresh atmosphere and thus perfume a room.
Depending on the diffusers and the size of the room, pour between 5 and 30 drops, and allow 30 minutes for a large room and about 15 minutes for a bedroom. In all cases, comply with the instructions for the device used.
In cosmetics: can be used to treat skin infections, or to stimulate the immune system.
The essential oil of compact Oregano is used very diluted in a rich vegetable oil to solve skin problems. Pour 4 drops of essential oil for 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil of your choice and massage gently into the area concerned.

Tips :
If your immunity is low or you go to high-risk areas, prepare an effective Aromel. Mix equal parts of the Origan EO, Ravensara and Tea Tree, then put 2 teaspoons of honey for 1 drop of the mixture in a small jar and stir. At a rate of 1c three times a day in a glass of water or warm herbal tea, adapt the quantity according to the desired cure (e. g. 8 days = 24 c. of honey and 12 drops of the mixture).
Precaution for use: not recommended for pregnant women and children under three years of age, externally diluted at 1% in vegetable oil, possibly in synergy with other Essential Oils.
