Guide - Tea Tree EO
The Story :
Thorny tree, about 5m high, always green, its trunk is straight with a bark shaped like strips. Its narrow, fluffy, lanceolate, bright green leaves are isolated and alternately arranged on either side of the stem. The white flowers in a plume reminiscent of cotton flowers are arranged in cobs. This tree, which prefers swampy and sunny soils, multiplies thanks to surgeons (a kind of rejection or regrowth), which contributed to its survival, as it was threatened with extinction by the expansion of breeding. It belongs to the same botanical family as eucalyptus or clove.
Aborigines have used it since the dawn of time and still do today to treat all kinds of disorders or injuries and to purify water. During the Second World War, producers and people who harvested the plant were exempt from military service as long as tea tree reserves were not sufficient.
Tea Tree essential oil was distributed to soldiers and sailors so that they could treat infectious problems caused by their wounds or other diseases.
The Plant :
The Tea tree is a traditional medicinal tree 4 to 6 metres high. We have selected tea tree extracts carefully harvested in Australia to offer a superior quality oil. This Tea Tree Essential Oil gives off a fresh and special scent.
- Invigorating and protective virtues to ward off winter
- Purifying air
- Ideal for massaging heavy legs and for skin problems
In infusion: To stimulate the natural defences, fight against infections and stimulate the nervous system.
To do this, mix 3 to 4 drops in a litre of warm, non-boiling water. Indeed, water that is too hot tends to evaporate the essential oil too quickly and could also degrade the essential oil and its components, making it less effective. It is important to dilute the essential oil in honey or on a sugar cube which you will then add in warm water, in order to unify the mixture. Once your preparation is done, you can enjoy your tea for a moment of relaxation, at any time of the day.
Atmospheric diffusion: To clean and purify the atmosphere of your interior, but also to create a fresh atmosphere and thus perfume a room.
Depending on the diffusers and the size of the room, pour between 5 and 30 drops, and allow 30 minutes for a large room and about 15 minutes for a bedroom. In all cases, comply with the instructions for the device used.
In cosmetics: In particular, it helps to treat skin infections, heal wounds and fight acne.
Tea Tree essential oil is used very diluted in a rich vegetable oil to solve skin problems. Pour 4 drops of essential oil for 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil of your choice and massage gently into the area concerned.
In case of superinfected acne: in 10ml of Chilean Rose vegetable oil add 20 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil + 20 drops of Aspic Lavender + 10 drops of Noble Laurel, applied locally on the buds.
Caution: Not recommended for the first 3 months of pregnancy.
