The Story:
The clove has a conical shape, and has persistent oval and tough leaves. The parts used for the essential oil are the closed buds of the clove flowers, which look like small nails with heads and are also used as a spice.
200 years before Christ, the Ramayana, a major Indian work, already mentions its trade. A clove has even been found among the charred remains of a kitchen at a site in present-day Syria, dated 1700 BC.
In the Moluccas, a clove tree is planted on the day a child is born. In the Middle Ages, it was in fashion and was found in pharmaceutical compositions to relieve pain or facilitate digestion.
It is also used in the composition of kohl and tradition attributes it the power to protect against bad luck or disease. In a completely different vein, the “amber apple” is an air freshener made at Christmas time with an orange covered with cloves.
In cooking, it is found in the pot au feu, with the famous onion pricked with a few nails, in sauerkraut or gingerbread.

The Plant:
The clove tree is a humid tropical tree 10 to 20 meters high. We have selected extracts of clove from Madagascar, one of the host lands of this plant and producing a remarkable essential oil. It has a warm and pungent smell.

Uses :
In infusion: to stimulate the natural defences and purify the body and mind.
To do this, mix 3 to 4 drops in a litre of warm, non-boiling water. Indeed, water that is too hot tends to evaporate the essential oil too quickly and could also degrade the essential oil and its components, making it less effective. It is important to dilute the essential oil in honey or on a sugar cube which you will then add in warm water, in order to unify the mixture. Once your preparation is done, you can enjoy your tea for a moment of relaxation, at any time of the day.
Atmospheric diffusion: to Clean and purify the atmosphere of your home, but also to create a spicy atmosphere and thus perfume a room.
Depending on the diffusers and the size of the room, pour between 5 and 30 drops, and allow 30 minutes for a large room and about 15 minutes for a bedroom. In all cases, comply with the instructions for the device used.
In cosmetics: to In cosmetics, can soothe dental pain and purify the gums, or stimulate the immune system.
The essential oil of Clove Nail is used very diluted in a rich vegetable oil to solve skin problems. Pour 4 drops of essential oil for 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil of your choice and massage gently into the area concerned.

Tips :
In case of tooth rage, put a drop of essential oil of Clove Nail on a cotton swab or on your finger and massage around the tooth that hurts, its analgesic and anti-infectious action relieves while waiting to see the dentist.
Precaution for use: Not recommended for pregnant women and children under six years of age. Externally is irritating to the skin if it is not well diluted in vegetable oil (2 to 5%).
