Guide - Helichrysum Bracteiferum EO

The Story  :

Helichrysum Bracteiferum is a variety of Helichryses that can only be found in Madagascar. It differs from Italian Helichrysum in particular by its very high concentration of cineole. It grows mainly in the mountainous heights of the island, on rocky soils and in lichen forests.

Like its cousin Helichrysum Italicum, it takes the form of a small golden yellow bush with a strong fragrance, and keeps very well once dry. Both varieties have anti-inflammatory properties but their comparison stops there, because Helichrysum Bracteiferum is primarily intended to treat respiratory diseases. The term “Helichrysum” comes from the Greek Helios, the Sun, and Chrysos, the Gold.

It is a plant well known in Malagasy herbal medicine for its great effectiveness.
